Kforce's client in Wakefield, MA is seeking an experienced CPA to work in a paperless, technologically forward environment, focused in the area of tax at an established CPA firm. We have a large diverse client base that offers challenging work and projects. Responsibilities:

• Review and prepare individual and entity tax returns; Business, estate, fiduciary, and gift
• Take the lead on client projects - tax audits, planning, business consulting
• Conduct thorough tax research and stay up to date with tax laws and regulations
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure accuracy of tax filings
• Assist in tax planning and provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting and tax-related tasks.
• Maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer service
• Work closely with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and deliverables
• Stay updated with industry trends and developments in accounting and taxation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
• 5+ years of experience in personal and small business tax preparation and consulting
• Proven experience in tax preparation and accounting services
• Knowledge of multi-state filings for individuals and small businesses
• Software experience with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
• Experience with CCH ProSystem FX and/or CCH Axcess is a plus
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in paperless environment, independently and as part of a team
