Role Description This full-time, on-site Medical Biller & Coder role is based in West Palm Beach, FL. The Medical Biller & Coder will review clinical documentation, assign appropriate ICD-10 codes, and ensure accurate billing for insurance carriers, including Medicare and commercial plans. Daily responsibilities include verifying patient insurance coverage, preparing and submitting claims, identifying and resolving denials, and following up on outstanding balances. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and coding guidelines, collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to clarify documentation, and supporting compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The individual will contribute to efficient revenue cycle operations and help ensure timely reimbursement for services provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and strong understanding of clinical documentation.
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and familiarity with current coding guidelines.
• Experience working with Insurance carriers, including commercial plans and Medicare.
• Ability to analyze and resolve Denials and manage claims follow-up effectively.
• Previous experience as a medical biller and/or coder in a clinical or multi-specialty practice setting.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in data entry.
• Comfort using electronic health records (EHR) and billing software systems.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.
• Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in medical billing and coding desirable.
• 3+ years of medical billing and coding experience.
