Position Overview

We are looking for an ambitious, sharp Freight Agent to drive market expansion by prospecting and onboarding new commercial accounts. You will leverage Circle's massive carrier network and enterprise infrastructure while working alongside executive leadership to build a scalable, high-yielding business portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development & Prospecting: Identify, target, onboard, and grow new commercial shipping accounts across all major freight modes.
• Full-Cycle Account Ownership: Manage client relationships end-to-end, handling initial outreach, strategic pricing, onboarding, and long-term account health.
• Executive Collaboration: Work directly with senior leadership to align sales efforts with high-level growth targets and operational capabilities.
• Financial Performance: Consistently hit and exceed gross margin and revenue goals using Circle's technology and dedicated back-office support.
• Operations Partnership: Collaborate closely with internal dispatch, carrier relations, and tracking teams to ensure seamless service execution.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in freight brokerage, 3PL, TSP, or carrier sales/operations.
• 5+ years of total logistics experience with a proven track record in business development.
• History of progressive career growth and consistent gross margin generation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional industry experience.
• Proficiency with modern electronic transport management platforms (TMS), dispatch software, and industry technology.
• Strong working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to handle operational or client needs outside standard business hours as needed.

Preferred:

• An active or transferable book of business (customer or carrier network).
• Experience in freight dispatching or branch operations management.
